My friend recently got a computer from his work. It was set up on a domain network as a workstation. He got this computer, but was also layed off a few days after he got this computer, so he couldn't find the password from the network admins at his job. That is where I came in. I found the password, thanks to DreamPackPL (Maniacle Laughter) and he also wants me to try and turn this computer into a regular home computer. What steps can I take to remove the "Hit Ctrl, Alt, Delete" promt, allow the computer to work on a home LAN, and other things as well. Any ideas? Thanks!

First of all, removing to hit CTRL+ALT+DEL woun't have any effect.
You have to configure the computer to be a member of a workgroup insteed of member of a domain. Please send a reply, if you solved the problem !!!

And you can do that only if you know the default Administrator password.
I'd reload it and start from stratch.
EEOC

I am just going to reload it. It had Windows 2000 on it and the guy wants me to put XP on it, so...
