What are the configuration steps to create a trust relationship b/w two win2k domains. In two buildings with 192.168.191.x and 192.168.63.x IP addresses scheme. Both Servers are Pentium 4 with 1 G Ram.
Regards.

hi,

first make sure that two domains can ping each other. does u have any router or any routing machine. u require a device which routes data between ur different networks. if so, now ur two domain should configured well for ADS. just go to first domain Active directory domains and trusts> there u will get ur domain name. right click on it and go to properties, now u will see trust relation ship, specify trusted by this second as another domain and trust this domain as second domain. now it will ask for username and password, give second domain admin's username and password.

keep smiling :))

I don't believe you can make a trust between two seperate AD domains. You should be able to have one domain be the forest and bring the other domain into the forest. Then you can create a trust between the domains.

Yes, you can have a trust between AD domains. It would be a explicit trust created between the two. This is often done when one company aquires another but each company wants to maintain their own identity.

Nazar, a little effort on your part would go a long way here. There are tons of articles with 'how to' steps on how to do it. It's not terribly complicated. Do a search and you'll get plenty of info.
