Hi

I'm having real trouble with Outlook (in office XP). Quite often when recieving a HTML mail message it opens blankly with the message that 'This message contains scripts which outlook cannot display. This may affect how the message appears'. Perhaps the strangest thing of all however is that when I try to access the account directly by hotmail (as it is a hotmail account that I access via outlook), the message is not displayed there either.

Anyone have any ideas about what could be wrong??

Thanks

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately this appears to make no difference. This problem is really puzzling me. I'm wondering if it could be some kind of hotmail problem. I have tried importing all the messages into Outlook Express and viewing them there and I cannot see them there either. Anymore ideas please because this is reallyu becoming a problem for me.

if it's happening outside of Outlook as well then it's probably not an outlook issue but more likely is caused by either your browser security settings or -if it's only messages that come from one person or organization- the way the message was created by the sender

Thanks again nec, I tried putting all security features I can think of to the lowest setting and shut down Zonealarm but I still can't view these certain few messages. It seems really strange because I have noticed this behaviour in the past 3 or 4 weeks only and it happens to messages from a wide spread of people. As if its some setting that has changed itself somewhere (who knows where?). I think I need to do a bit of methodical experimentation and elimination to see if I can corner the problem.

Thanks for your help though.

If anyone has any more potential pearls of wisdom though please let me know though.
