Trouble installing radeon7000 in hp

I have a 1ghz comp and i have no agp slot so i bought this radeon 7000pci and when i try to boot up with it in my comp it freezes on the hp logo and i dont know what to do please help

Have U tried installing it in the 1st PCI slot on your card? 'SOMETIMES' the pb comes from there... Also, if U have numerous PCI cards, a conflict between one of them could freeze your computer... Try installing them one at a time...
