Hi.
I have three problems:
1. Internet Explorer 6 SP1: It keeps popping up whenever a page finishes loading. This is REALLY annoying when I'm using Word or mIRC. Couldn't it just stay docked and let me check it when I want to?

2. Microsoft NetMeeting: I'm behind a RH 7.2 router. My friend and I would like to talk to each other since it's cheaper than using the phone and we both have microphones. He hears me, but I can't hear him! Is there a port I should open? Or do I just need to change some settings?

3. Start -> Run... : I run, say ipconfig.exe. I see the window for a split-second and then it closes. Couldn't it STAY opened?

Any ideas how to solve these problems? Thanks in advance!

Hi: I can answer #3

Go to Start > Run (Type in) cmd

At this point you should be at the command prompt (DOS)

(type in) ipconfig /all

or just ipconfig

I'm interested in figuring out how to configure netmeeting to work on the outside. It seems like I can only get it to work by computer name inside our network.

Sorry, but I can't help with the other questions.

Sam

RE 1 - Download XP Powertoys from MS. There's a TweakUI for XP in there and on of the settings is to prevent background apps coming to the foreground.

I don't have an exact answer for number 2 but I can help you on the right track. Analolx.com has a packet sniffer, if netmeeting is trying to pass a port through you will see it in this program. This site also has alot of usefull programs.
