You might be out of luck, try

But they quote, " WARNING: Some OEM's implementations of our chips are not completely compatible with out generic drivers, so use them at your own risk. "

I'm guessing you have a Compaq? I had the same problem a few months ago with a coworkers computer. Although I do not remember the exact driver name or where I found it, you can find one that works. It took me a long time to find it and I had to just install and test repeatedly to find one that worked.
