wasn't sure who to e-mail - no single contact for support so have e-mailed their sales for an address.

Thought i'd ask to see if anyone had an idea while i waited for theirs.

Thanks

There may be a Registry entry that contains the positive value that requires a password. Symantec has one.

Check:

HKLM\Software and the Trend Micro entries under there.

I really wanted to point something out because it took me so long to find it that this may help someone else out.

HKLM\software\intel\landesk\virusprotect6\currentversion\administratoronly\security

take a look at that key you will see one called UseVPUninstallPassword .. w/ a value of 1. change that to a 0 and try uninstalling. should work.

Just had a look around in the registry to try and uninstall a password protected installation of Trend Micro Internet Security 2005 and found that if you delete the key HKLM\software\trendmicro\pc-cillin\system then you can uninstall without a password. Hope this helps someone.

There is no away.

Find HKLM\SOFTWARE\TrendMicro\PC-cillinNTCorp\CurrentVersion\Misc. and set "Allow Uninstall" = 1
