I recieved the same message on my PC as well. It came to be when I removed a networking components. How I solved it: Then i did a Repair Install (Install, then it detects an older install, then i said R for repair). It deleted the old system, and reinstalled the new. When it was all done, I was amazed. I have a hatred for microsoft probably more than anyone, but this time I had sparkles in my eyes. The system was completely restored, all my programs, desktop settings, dial-up configs.. All were back to normal. I simply re-applied the patches and SP's and that was it. Hope this helps. Ryan
