track who deleted files in Win2k

I am wondering if there is an inherent way or free/cheap software I can get to simply get a log of files that were deleted and less importantly, modified, on my Windows 2000 server. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

google enable auditing in 2000. its free
