hi,

i have been searching for an answer to this questuion for quite some time but haven't found a solution yet. Am hoping that someone out here could be of help.

I have many shared folders (read and write access) on my office Pc. A lot of people access these for their roputine work. Is it possible that I generate a log which would tell me:

1. who accessed which shared folder and when
2. did what- added, deleted, read ...

Some of that can be tracked with the auditing built into Windows.

There are many FAQ's on W2K auditing. Easily found on search engines.

It can be done via a domain controller or just a local PC. You NEED NTFS on the computer which has the shared drives.
