Can anyone tell me how to fix my CD rom drive on my laptop.I keep getting the message D:\ Not Accessable but it was working fine a couple of weeks ago. I am unable to play or open any CD. Much Appreciated.

Thanks for your reply but my CD Rom drive is only a couple of months old and to go out and buy another is a bit extreme. There must be another way to reactivate my CD Rom drive.

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro 490XCDT and at some point I experienced the same problem. I removed the CD-ROM and put it back but it did not work. I reinstalled the driver for the CD-ROM and It did not work. Eventually it came back and worked fine but I dont remember how. Why you dont try using the dos drivers.
