Thunderbird retrieve files

Did a dirty re-install which left all other files intact, but for some strange reason, can't access my Thunderbird files.

Any idea how I can get these back, as they are sorely missed.

Unless you changed the location for your Thunderbird profile when you were running it, the files (emails) would be located in your old Windows profile (under Documents and Settings.)
