It's me with the boot problem.
RE: Invalid boot diskette..message
I'm truly a NOVICE to this stuff guys. The are FACT:
1. No floppy left in drive
2. I have no idea how this fine the BIOS
HELP>>HELP

Do this Sam,Forget the bios. If this is true this can come about because
bios can not find Hard drive C:
Maybe drive cable is unpluged, have you been missing around in side PC?.Or moving it around.Open box and make sure everything is
fit's tight,it does not take much of a jar
for something to come lose inside.
Can you give some background before yhis happened?DAC

I checked the cable etc. This computer was given to me...it was confused when i got it!
i do know the person who gave it to mention said something a changing the slave/master setting ..Sounds weird to me..... the system has a hard drive/floppy and cdrw..
I just would like to get it working for my kids (don't have a lot of money to put into it). Any help would be appreciated!

Ok now, your Hard drive connects to the primary controller connector on motherboard
the other end of cable connects to the Hard drive "NOT CD-ROM" NOW, make sure on the back of Hard drive the little jumper pin is set as
(master) its at the back end of Hard drive.
The Hard drive shows you which pin is master
or slave.
Now,The CD-ROM connects to secondary controller on motherboard the other end of cable connects to CD-ROM,set jumper on it to
master.
NOW,do not have both drives on same cable.
If you only have on cable controller on motherboard that's because its a older one.
If it is a older motherboard then put both
drives on same cable BUT" make Hard drive
master and CD-ROM slave.
Post Back Were geting closer
