I am using remote desktop connection to a Windows 2000 Server setup with Terminal Services. When I boot up the server I can connection to the server using my Windows XP machine using remote desktop connection without any issues. When I log off and attempt to log back in I am get the error msg. "The client could not establish a connection to the remote server". When I attempt to connect using Terminal services on a Windows 2000 machine to the same server I get the following msg. "The Terminal server has ended the session". I looked at the Terminal service manager on the server that is having this problem, and can not see anything established connections. Has anyone seen this issue and fixed this issue?

I found out the answer. If you go to the server that you are having this problem with check the event System log for an error on the TermService EventID: 55 "Attempt to send a message to a disconnected communication port." - I resolved this issue by uninstalling Webroot's SpySweeper and rebooting the server.
