Comment:

We have a windows 2000 terminal server that we can access from the outside. How can I stop anyone connecting. For example. Only allow certain ip addresses to connect?

You can obviously configure only certain users to have access to the terminal server via their logon name.

You could set up IPSEC which is the TCP/IP encryption/authentication protocol but that might be a bit tricky to explain here and will only support other w2k clients.

If you look in Internet Information Services manager, under Start, Programs, Administrative Tools, Internet Services Manager, play around in the folders until you find the folder that you use to connect to your terminal server. I think it might be termsvr or something like that. When you find it, right click and choose Properties. Then choose directory security and choose the security that you would like (e.g. IP address restrictions, etc.)

If you have any other questions or if you need more clarification on this, please don't hesitate to email me at admin@mtd.ca

Yes, Matt is exactly correct. Just as a little more info...the name of the directory you are looking for once in "Internet Services Manager" would be TSWeb under Default Web Site.
