Hello i am having a headache right now i have 1 office who connects to our home office with terminal sessions to access some of our application.
The problem is that they cannot see their local printer. I have done some research on the forum without finding a solution for the issue it seems that we need to install the driver on our terminal server and share it. This part i have done it.
The printer i am trying to install is not configured has a lpt1 its a laserjet 5000N which is configured TCP/IP.
I did install the driver on the server here but even there how do i redirect it to their printer in their LAN.
If anyone can post some informations i would appreciate alot.
Thanks
Martin

Are you connecting directly to the term serv via rdp/ts cient or are you going through a SSL VPN first?

Hey if you are using RDP for your TS do make sure that the Printers box is checked on the Local Resources Tab in the RDP config. Also note that TS HATES usb printers!! If you can, connect the local printers using parallel cables. Otherwise you can try sharing the USB printer and listing it in the directory on your print server and then connecting to it from the desktop via the print server (doesn't always work). Parallel cable or a network printer is much easier :)

One other thing i'm assuming you've checked the Client Settings tab on the Server itself. Right click the connection within the TS Config console select Properties the Client settings tab and make sure "Connect client printers at logon" is checked
