Dear Eric

You could clear the temp files.
check whether they are ending like this .tmp
if so, go ahead and delete those files.
These tmp files are created when you run some program on your system, you could safely remove .tmp and .log files to clear up space

Better yet go to system tools and choose Disk Cleanup. It will clean up a bunch of stuff you don't need.
