Hi all,

Can anyone help. I am currently trying to setup telnet clients to telnet into my server from the internet. I have a Netgear firewall and i have conifigured the port 23 for inbound connections. However, from a client on the LAN running Windows 2000 i can Telnet into my PC, but when ever i try from the inter net, it displays:

Telnet 80.7.2**.***
Trying 80.7.2**.***....
Connected to 80.7.***.***
Escape character is '^]'.

Server allows NTML authentication only
Server has closed connection
Connection closed by foreign host

Urgent help will be greatly appreciated.

I believe that W2K only allows two telnet sessions. For more you have to buy licenses from MS.
