I'm attempting to upgrade Win98 to Win2k. So far, everything has been gravy with the exception of the protocol installation. When I install TCP/IP, I'm given no reason to think anything went badly, however I cannot ping or run ipconfig/winipcfg. It says that it is not recognized as an internal command. I have tried reinstalling a number of times, sometimes after reboots, sometimes after hardboots. I'm out of ideas at this point. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks! Chris

suggestions:Remove all protocols, and reboot. Add tcp/ip again. Drastic:Clean install. Don't no anyone who has upgraded and not had problems in one way or another eventually.
