Hi everyone.

I have a win2k server. and I am trying to run some scheduled jobs. I can run them manually. And usually they will run when scheduled. The problem is everytime I do a reboot of the server, the jobs dont run, manually or automatically. I have to reset the password for the account that runs the jobs. I was wondering was their any windows rules, policies that dealth with this issue. Like I read somewhere the creater had to be the local admin, not sure of how accurate that is. My question is how come it does not remember the account pwd for the job scheduled? Is there something I am not aware of? Is it a glich in the win2k scheduled service. Its a win 2k prolient DL380 server 2G ram. with SP4 and running IE6. Any info would be helpful. thanks

first of all trie to never restart your server. It's very bad for the system. Only in rare cases you need to restart it.

As for the scheduler you need them to run under the local system account in the scheduler. Then all problems are gone but dont trie to reboot your server that much, thats a way better idea
