Hi all,
When login as domain user in one of windows 2000 professional OS, the task manager is not opening. i tried following two methods

1. Right click on the lower right corner of the task bar.
2. Press Alt+Ctrl+del, then i tried to open task manager.

but both methods are failed to get open. The task manager is opening when i logon as a different user.

The problem is coming for the specific domain id on that particular pc.

I had that on a customer's server - I can't remember the name of it but it's a virus.

Go into regedit and look under HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Run

and look for an unusual-looking entry in there

I had to run a scan in safe mode with up-to-date AV software to remove it

I am unable to open TASKMANAGER in Windows XP on my PC. The message NO ACTIVE NETWORK ADAPTERS FOUND is displayed when I press CTRL+ALT+DEL or when I right click on the taskbar to open TASKMANAGER.

My OSs are Windows XP Professional & Win98 (multibooting).

Also, of late, I am unable to select the OS Win98 with the down arrow of my keyboard in the boot up screen. OS WinXP is selected by default. However, the PC does not boot into WinXP even when ENTER is pressed during the countdown of 30 to 1. The PC boots into WinXP only after the countdown is over.
