system tray and yahoo icon

I want to remove the yahoo messenger system tray icon. I've tried tweak ui, msconfig, and control panel startup as suggested in previous posts. Yahoo doesn't show up in any of them! And of course, yahoo help is useless. Does anyone have an idea as to how I might stop the yahoo messenger icon from showing up in the system tray in win2000? Thank you!
