I have a Soyo P4X400 Dragon Lite motherboard with a Pentium 4 2.8GHz CPU, 1.5GB RAM, ATI All-in-Wonder 9700 Radeon AGP 4x video board. I am running Zone Alarm Pro firewall and Norton Systemworks 2004. Whenever I try to view streaming video from the internet, whether I am using Microsoft Media Player or RealOne Player, the system hangs (freezes) after just a short time (30 seconds to 2 minutes). This is a complete freeze: video freezes, mouse and keyboard are inoperative (the only thing to do is reboot with the reset switch). This is not a problem with the internet connection, because my laptop, also running Win 2K Prof, running over the same connection, does not have this problem. I have tried various changes to the BIOS settings, but none of them seem to solve the problem. All motherboard drivers from Soyo are up-to-date, and all Win 2K updates have been installed. I am out of ideas as to what to check. I have reformatted the hard drive and reinstalled Windows 2K several times to try to resolve this, but nothing seems to help. Any suggestions will be welcome...
