I am working on a W2k (professional) platform and i am developping applications using Visual Studio 6.0. It often happens that during debugging an application my system freezes: the only thing I can do at that moment is pressing the powerbutton of my pc. The sad thing is that it really happens often and that it is hard to find a reproducible scenario. Another guy over here who has a pc with a different layout (hardware) has the same problem. Can anybody help me?
It sounds like you're running out of resources. are you running a small amount of ram 128mgs or less? Small CPU PIIx or less? Running background programs at the same time/ ie Seti@home/firewall/antivirus ect.?
