System folder in control panel GONE

I have a paging file error come up wehn windows boots.. i have tried safe mode... last known good config and i am logged in admin... my system icon under control panel is gone.. and when i right click on my computer and hit properties nothing happens.!! HELP!!!!

You can try hitting the Windows key + Pause/Break. This opens the System Properties as well. If it doesn't work, run a reinstall from the 2000 CD and choose the Repair option then try to access your System Properties again.
