With win 2000 the system disk is always accessed (50% disk activity) even if the pc is doing anything.
The motherboard is the ASUS A7A with AMD 1200 Mhz on board and 256 Mbytes DDR ram. The system disk is a scsii disk and is always accessed. This problem occurs even if the PC is disconnected from the LAN and 5 minutes after a reboot.
Any idea?

Is indexing turned off. Also did you do a low level format with the SCSI controler?
