many things you can do
one...cut down the size of imported pictures by compresing them before importing
into flash
two....think!
three....repeat step two
four.....flash reprocesses pictures (objects) rasterized or not....vector or jpg within your file when playing back as a swf. that's what makes flash flash. Flash plays back a small file of goto's, movements, colorizations and whatever makes your swf your swf. Think of it this way...You put all the pieces of what is in your swf into a box.
Throw in the code (what you did in flash)
(REMEBER) the code is what makes flash Flash
Like a keyStroke recal program. THe file would be huge if you had to stuff the typer along with the tiny kilobyte file to get back the typing. does this make sense?
Back to the swf file (Box)
Shake well.
And look in the box (your swf) and watch it
play through.
So the less pieces you put into the box.
The lighter the box (size of swf) will be.
In a nut shell.
Your mind is part of keeping your swf file along with Flashes compresion algorythms, at a reasonable size.
