Hi, I've just decided to add a 500mb hard drive to my system to use only for the swap file but I'm not sure if I should format it NTFS or FAT. I want to get the best performance possible, any suggestions would be appriciated. Jeremy

Before you do that consider this... is the 500 meg hard drive faster that you current hard drive? if not then you will notice a decrease in performance... NTFS has more security checks but also manages the space better... If all you doing it for is to increase performance then you may try setting your swap file to a set amount if you have room on your harddrive... IE I have 2 100 gig drives in my system. so I set my swap file at 1 gig.. Since the size is set it doesnt use processor time to change... and it does not fragment my hard drive.. I have my swap file set high becuase I print large photo quality images at 2400 x 1200 and it takes alot of memory to do it quickly... on my other systems I have it set at 500 meg..
