Is it svhost.ext or svchost.exe?

See the MSKB here for a description of svchost.exe

If it is svhost you could have a problem. There is an IRC server that utilizes this file and it has been a popular installation on hacked systems. Do you have passwords on all the administrator accounts on your system? Check.
