svchost.exe error

i keep gettin an error poping up saying something like:

"svchost.exe has generated errors. windows has created an error log. restart the program"

does anyone know how i cud fix it? or how to stop svchost from loading etc.

cos i havnt a clue what the hell svchost.exe is and where to find it

In my case I got this message working arround MSN Messenger. When it connects to the network I got this message.

And... McAfee popup the detected virus message.

Probably you are infected with a virus.
