Go to symantec's web site and download the cleaner for the msblast virus and run it on your system. It sounds to me like you've been bit by the bug....

I highly recommend doing a complete virus scan whether you find the msblast virus or not.

Agree with Curt, definatly sounds like a virus. I would do a scan first though to determine which virus you have. The Gaobot virus also takes over the svchost.exe program

I am also getting the message "The instruction at "0x00000000" referenced memoray at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read". Ring any bells. I do not seem to have the blaster worm. I ran two different worm repair programs from the symantec web site. One for blaster and one other one. Thanks.

It's possible you have a faulty, incorrect, or corrupted memory chip. You might need to change it or upgrade.

hi..
i hav a major problem with my PC
it was infected with the blaster virus and i removed it using housecall antivirus and i also installed the microsoft patch.
this worked for a while but now it has returned but no antivirus program can detect it. The removal tool from symantec also says that it cannot be found but it's definitely blaster or a perfect mimic!
Anyway, i hav tried everything and honestly don't know what to do.

Please help :0(!!!!!!!!!!

thx :D)
