SUS Server not applying updates

I have installed Microsoft System Update Services (SUS) on one of my domain servers. I have the correct auto update clients on my w2k pro machines(Installed SP4). I setup the SUS server through a group policy, and it applies the settings correctly to the clients (which I have verified by reviewing the registry). Everything appears to be correct, but no updates are being applied to the client computers. I verified this by running the MBSA. Also in the MBSA, I checked to get data from SUS server, but I got a message saying there was no info on SUS server. I have approved all the items I want to approve. Any reason this is not working? I am running IIS, but haven't made any changes in it sonce installing SUS. I just went through the typical sus setup except confirmed the clients are looking at the correct NetBIOS name. Any help would be appreciated.
