Hello all,
My SupraExpress internal modem, I can't get it dial to connect to my ISP, the error message is "Error 680 there were no dial tone". But it is working fine with windows 98 on the same system (dual boot). Thanks in advance for any help.
JT.

Have you also checked with www.supra.com? Thats where I had to download the drivers for my Supra Express USB... I know that Diamond bought out Supra and the sites are changing around but you may wish to give it a shot. It really sounds like a driver problem. have you experimented with installing Win2k 'standard' modem drivers? Just wondering ... DiskMan

I had the same problem with a Diamond Supra Express 56i SP modem. Win2k assigned it to Com 4, it responded when queried in diagnostics, but couldn't dial out. I did not change the drivers, but the fix described above by Tina Kewy worked! What she describes is simply unchecking the box that asks whether to "Wait for a dial tone before dialing" in the modem properties general tab.
