This happened when my company upgraded to Windows 2000. The sound card is an AC'97 - and, all streaming audio plays for too quickly. I've adjusted the performance settings from the control panel, but to no avail. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Hi Tony,
I just upgraded my office PCs to 2000 and ran into the exact same problem. The computers in my office that experienced this are Compaq Deskpro EX series and have the same sound card (AC'97), so I went and downloaded updated drivers off of compaq's site (soundmax). It fixed the problem right away.
