I have a virtual machine running windows 2000 that had a 3.9 gig ntfs virtual hard drive. I used a vmware tool to expand the hard drive to 8 gigs, but I needed a way to expand the 3.9 gig ntfs partition to use the new free space. I used qtparted on the knoppix cd and expanded the partition to 8 gigs. I booted back into windows and Computer Management shows Disk 0 C: as 8.0 gigs and is healthy, but at the top, the C: drive capacity is still 3.9 gigs. When I view the size of the disk in My Computer it also shows 3.9 gigs. I think it is a problem with windows 2000 since qtparted shows the ntfs partition as a full 8 gigs. Any ideas? I've provided a link to a screenshot.
