I have a windows 2000 machine with an HP Deskjet 610cL attached locally via the parallel port. In printing a multi-page document, the following error occurs: the printer spits out the correct number of pages, and while it's printing the print head is moving back and fourth the way it is suposed to, but only the first page of the document has ink on it. I printed a test page ,and both color and black ink are present, so it's not an ink issue. I uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, (included with the OS) this did not help. I checked the connection, it was fine. It happened in my AOL mail, which is where I usually print things from. I tested it in other programs with the same result. I also set it to print from "Front to back" which I took to mean start at page 1, and then go to page 2, etc. Instead, the front page (i.e. page 1) is always the last to print. I don't know if this has anything to do with thte problem. Any help is welcomed. |
