ok so here's the problem:

Everytime I go to open internet explorer, it close's immediately, and its the same with any program that requires connection to the internet, they just close themselves without being open for longer than a few seconds! I connect to the internet through wireless, and if the wireless is turned on, prior to starting up my laptop then it connects to the network fine but I still get the internet explorer closing straight away. But, if the wireless is turned off prior to starting up my laptop then once windows has fully loaded i cannot connect to the wireless network. I receive the following error message within my wireless network connections: "Windows cannot configure this wireless connection. If you have enabled another program to manage this wireless connection, use that software. If you want Windows to configure this wireless conection, start the windows zero configuration (WZC) service." So i used the WZC and managed to get a list of available networks with my network at the top, but it says it is not connected...
I dont have a clue what's wrong and I haven't done anything to my laptop, although a few days ago I had an error message to do with automatic updates, but I had been on t internet after this?!?!
Oh and my Norton anti-virus software had 8 errors, it could not carry out tasks such as a system scan even though my subscription ran out about 2 years ago it could still carry out these tasks previously!
itunes only opens for a few seconds aswell and then close's on itself with the error message, "error with audio configuration".
I hope this makes sense, but would really appreciate any help or advice! Many thanks!

Craig

Are you running Windows 2000 or Windows XP? This is the 2000 Forum. What Manufacturer/model is your computer, and what is the wireless card that is installed or integrated?

"any ideas??"

Yeah, how about asking your questions in the WinXP forum instead of the Win2000 forum?
