Hi,

I was using yahoo messanger just now and was typing a message just like this when my computer suddenly went into standby mode (where power goes off and you have to unlock with your password). I am wondering why this happened.

What is the shorcut for standby?? how could I have pressed it by accident?

In the past, I have had random windows pop up while typing... and I kept typing so I selected a bunch of things I don't even know... which is annoying... but I don't understand how I could have gone into standby by accident.

I'm suspecting a virus/hacker or something.

Apprecite any comments.
Thanks,
Adam.

just because you are typing does not mean the system knows you are active.

check your power settings and config as desired [like not go into standby]

Right mouse click on your screen and go into Properties then
Screen saver
And check out the setting for standby.
