Stop Error Hard Drive Error

i installed win 98 and win2k on my computer
everything worked great
then i took that hard drive and put it into a new motherboard and i get a stop error that says that the hard drive may be corrupted or there may be a virus or configuration may be off
it still works in 98 mode and still works in the old small tower
