I am getting this stop error, STOP: 0x0000007F after win2k copys the files to the harddrive in windows and then I reboot and get that stop error. The Win2k Pro/Server book says that it could be a memory error or a hardware error. I have changed out my memory and take out my PCI/ISA cards and booted up to install it and it still gives me the same error. Any suggestions? I would really appreciate it. Thanks!!

Did this unit ever function well? If so what's changed? If not what type of memory chips do you have. Do they all have the same colored contacts.

I had a motherboard (I think it was an ASUS) I'm not sure, but it would not function with the silver tipped memory chips. I had one once that worked but froze up once in a while with the silver tipped memory chips installed.

Please resond I'd like to know !

I had the same problem. It turns out to be caused by a faulty hard drive! so I changed it for a new one and the problem was gone.
