Startup Garbled

OS: windows 2000
CPU/Ram: pent 4 512

Screen is totally garbled when i start my computer. It is normal once windows starts. I think this has something to do with screen resolution but who knows . not me. im using windows 2000 and have an ATI card. If anyone knows how to fix this problem i will forever be in their dept

Didn't I see this message in another forum?
Your video card uses a very different mode to display when it first powers up. I would suspect you have a bad video card. Get a new card or try reseating it in the computer making sure it is in the slot all the way(with all power removed from computer, of course).
