Hi,

I have a booting problem. The PC starts on random.

If I hit the power button no beeps nothing.

only the green and orage lights are on.

After two three times iststarts up normally.

any ideas?

If the system was built some time ago you may need some housekeeping in the case. Open up and look for bulging or leaking capacitors. Reseat ALL RAM, cards, cables, etc. Use canned air to blow out all the dust and dirt. Take proper static precautions by discharging yourself and don't use brushes or vacuums.

Your problem may be due to oxidation on some contacts. Removing and reinserting thngs a few times will usually scuff up the surfaces and restore good contact. Ram is especially susseptable to this.

I'd have said the PSU was on its way out.
