Standard PC to ACPI PC won't boot

Hi, Changed the computer type from "standard pc" to "ACPI" and now won't boot. Now I know that the bios it's not fully ACPI compliant. Changing in BIOS ACPI disabled, just reboots where it frezzes before.
Don't know what to now, and don't want to format the disk.
