Hi, hope someone can help. I have a few applications on my 2K server that need MSSQL to run. As I'm only using Windows built-in backup software, I have to turn off the SQL services before the backup starts. I do this by simply running a scheduled task with a .bat file which uses a NET STOP command. 2 of the services stop fine and the backup is OK. The remaining service does not stop. If I run the NET STOP manually, it prompts for an input (are you sure Y/N). The other two just stop. How can I either force the service to stop, or better still, edit the batch to respond with 'y'? Big star for anyone who helps!
