Speed up Win2K

I have just upgraded to Win2K from Win 98, I did the standard install. Does any one know of any tweaks, etc to make it run faster or can point me to any good resources on how to do this????

did you do an upgrade or did you format your pc first? normally better (in my experience) to format first then do fresh install. check what file system you are running as well. also what service pack?

A few things I do 1. Lots of RAM, no less than 128MB 2. Turn of indexing 3. Put pagefile on seperate drive or on outer partition. 4. Run defrag a lot, especially if NTFS
