Hi all
I would like to install some software to reduce spam and I have had the following three packages recommended to me.
Mail washer
Spam pal
Spam AssassinWhat I basically want is software which will just identify spam and just delete it without any intervention from me if at all possible.
Of the there recommended which do you think is the best or what works for you and would cover the above.
Thanks for your time.

I dont have an answer to your question. IM not familiar with spam pal or spam assasin.
Mailwasher is sort of a screening app. It checks your accounts.. lists everything just like your mail client does. Then.. you go thru the subjects/senders and decide whats valid and what is not.
Mailwasher attempts to locate spam and possible viruses but its not 100%.
The reason i use it is because it gives me the ability to scan down the list myself and decide what the real mail is. IMO.. this is much better than a filtering tool because filtering tools arent 100% either and its possible to lose valid email.
I guess the important issue is.. how much valid email do you deal with daily.. for me.. 5-10 pieces are real so picking out the junk is easy. If your dealing with 20-50 pieces per day.. mailwasher might not be the best solution.
