SP3 problem with Virtual Machine ?

Comment:
After installing SP3, internet sites via IE6 requiring MS Java virtual machine initiate an 'other install on demand'.
JVM files are downloaded, but then install fails due to security protection - error message says that JVM can only be updated/installed using latest service pack .... which I have installed already (SP3).
Using netscape 7 is OK as it uses Java Runtime environment I presume ?

If the MS JVM worked before installing IE6 and you have also the SUN JRE installed, try the following (SUN JRE 1.4): Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Java Plug-in... -> Browser: Check "Microsoft Internet Explorer" Then Start IE6 select: Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced -> Java (Sun) Uncheck "Use Java 2 v XXXXX for (requires restart) And restart IE6.
