Sound card Problem

OS: windows2000
CPU/Ram: P3 600MHZ/ 128

I have problem with my soundcard it's on board sound card, while starting machine it say's New Muiltimedia hardware found but while configuring it i am not able to know which type of sound card drivers needed for my pc ? is there any way to detect the drivers needed for my pc. i tried with DXDIAG in that for sound card it's showing no sound card drivers installed ...is there any way to solve this ?

go to device manager and find ur sound card. then click on install drivers. the cd that came with the motherboard should have the drivers. if it is drive d then tell the pc to search drive d and it should automatically find the sound drivers. or you could go to the website of the motherboard manufacurer and get the drivers from there
