Hi. I have a Sony Vaio Laptop PCG-F809K. Recently it has had to be repaired and in order to repair it fully i need the Recovery Disks from Sony. However i do not have the original recovery disks. I have contacted Sony Vaio and they have given me a price estimate which is too high. Are there any other places where i can purchase these recovery disks and would i have any problems of encryption on the disks? Many thanks

Do you really need the OEM CD? I would load the basic OS. As long as you have the drivers, you should be fine.

I agree with don2006, but if you want you can try ebay or www.restoredisks.com.
