Hi
I have a Sony Vaio PCG-F809K Laptop. For a number of years I have had the occasional problem where the message "Operating System is not found" appears, resulting in the laptop having to be restored manually and wiping everything off the laptop. Recently I noticed that this seems to occur every time when the laptop is moved, or more precisely if it is moved not in a flat position. In the last 2 cases when this has happened, the laptop has been remedied by repeatly turning it upside down and back to flat until the problem is resolved. This suggests something may be loose in the laptop, causing this happen. Does anyone know if this is true and if so which part of the laptop is being affected?
Also my keyboard sporadically stops working for the "6", "-" and "Delete" keys. Is this due to the operating system?

Sounds like your Lappy has been through the wars. I'd say open it up and push home the hard drive connection. You'd be surprised what a difference it might make just to unplug replug joints. I've just done my lappy keyboard n tooth brushed its little slide in slot now it works a treat. I had a few keys not working prior to that. Make sure you're earthed so as not to fry anything. (wear washing up gloves LOL )
